Ceremonial Dress

The ceremonial order of dress is worn once each month for the Ceremonial Divisions parade. It is also worn during recruiting functions and at other formal ceremonies.

The ceremonial uniform consists of:

  • The white top.

  • Gunshirt, with a crease ironed down the centre of the front.

  • Tunic, with ribbons and name tag for C2 and medals for C1. Qualification, proficiency and rank badges are also to be sewn on.

  • Black trousers, with creases down the centre of each pant leg, front and back.

  • Cadet parade boots, polished to an acceptable level.

On the tunic, a variety of badges are worn to denote the rank, position and qualification of the Cadet.

Sea Cadet Training Uniform

The Sea Cadet Training Uniform (STU) is worn during weekend training exercises, weekly training nights except the first of each month, and other occasions which do not include ceremonial or formal functions.

The STU consists of:

  • A black ball cap with RCSCC FREDERICTON embroidered in gold on the front. The ball cap is to be worn with the brim forward, and shall be clean.

  • A black undershirt with a postman blue work shirt over top of it. Nametags and rank epaulettes shall be worn as applicable. The work shirt should be pressed to ensure a lack of wrinkles as well as a vertical crease running all the way down the center of each arm.

  • Black trousers with a black belt. The trousers shall have creases going down the middle of the pant legs on both sides.

  • Cadet parade boots, which are to be polished to an acceptable level. On some occasions (when specified), appropriate civilian shoes are to be worn instead.
